World Literature
Actively participate in your education at all times.
1
READ
I choose texts carefully. I will not ask you to read more than is necessary for you to understand a concept. When you fail to read, you fail to learn, to improve, to grow. Reading is important.
2
TAKE NOTES
Whenever I am talking in class, you should be writing. Take notes about assignments and advice concerning rubrics. Take notes as you read of important concepts. Do not merely read notes online --- you will not grow. You have to exercise your mind. Practice taking notes so that you can better prepare yourself for the next stage in life.
3
Our class depends on the constant exchange of ideas. Though discussion is an important part of our class, listening to your peers is equally important. Be respectful of your peers at all times. We may disagree. I hope that we do. Learning to listen and respond thoughtfully is a skill that many lack. We will practice this daily.
